ALL THE RAGE
Part 4

Justin walked into the diner dreading what he was about to do. He looked around for the familiar head of red hair. “Sunshine!”

Deb came towards him, tray filled with sandwiches in her hand. She kissed his cheek. “What can I get you baby?”

“Um how about a job?” Justin said, nervously looking into Deb’s eyes.

Debbie snapped her chewing gum and thought. “I’ll see what I can do sweetie. In the meantime,” she handed him the tray. “this goes to that table in the corner. Get to it!”

“I can’t believe they just expect me to move out,” Michael was complaining to Brian at Woody’s.

Brian sipped on his beer and searched the crowd for something of interest. “Why am I still hearing about this?” he sounded bored.

“Brian!!!” Mikey whined.

“What the fuck is your problem, Mikey? You’re acting like a spoilt brat,” Mikey glared. “Look, I think it’s a good idea,” Brian said. “if it’s any consolation to you,”

“What? Don’t you start now.”

“But I do. The queen has got a point. You’re always at the hubby’s anyway, so move in already and stop this shit,” Brian smiled at a number playing pool. He was hot - tall, dark hair, good body. The ass could use some work maybe, Brian thought. But he looks well endowed.

Michael brought him out of it with a, “Are you out of your fucking mind?”

“What? You don’t think he’s worth my time?”

“Who? Brian! Will you pay attention to me? You can fuck all you want later,”

Brian sighed and turned to look at his best friend. “So talk already,”

“Do you uh really think I should move out?”

“Yes,”

“Well, I’m not going to!”

Brian rose from the table, obviously annoyed and finished his beer. “You know what Mikey? I don’t think you should move out just because you’re never there anymore OR because Justin needs a place to stay. I think you need to get out of there, because the queen is turning you into an even bigger one!” He grabbed his jacket and left.

Justin knew he shouldn’t be there but the violin music just seemed to be calling his name. Soon, he found himself in a similar position to a few weeks ago – standing outside a classroom at PIFA watching Ethan play. And just like the last time, Ethan spotted him and immediately stopped playing.

“Hi,” Ethan said.

“Hi,” Justin smiled.

“How are you?”

“You never called me,”

“I’m sorry,”

Justin walked closer to him. “I miss you. And Wolfram too,”

Ethan grinned. “He misses you too,”

“And you?”

“I love you, Justin. What do you think?”

Justin didn’t realize his heart was beating so fast until now. “I-“

“What do you want to hear? That you were always in my thoughts? That I couldn’t sleep at night smelling you on my pillows and needing you to be next to me? That I can’t play for shit anymore because all I see everywhere I turn is you?” Justin exhaled slowly. He could see his breath in the cold room as he did so.

“I’m sorry,”

“Don’t be. I’ve heard that’s what happens when you’re in love. And you miss somebody,”

The boys grinned. Justin threw his arms around his young lover and kissed him as if his life depended on it. Ethan returned the kiss with equal fervor. Justin was the first to pull away. “I really am sorry,”

“Me too,”

“So what now? Are we-“

“Yea, we are. Why don’t you come over tonight? I’ll tell the pussy you’re coming for a visit… Or is it to stay?”

Justin twisted his mouth. “I can’t. I’m staying at a friend’s. I can spend the night, but I can’t stay Ethan,”

“Ok, that’s fine,”

“See you tonight,”

“Taylor residence?”

“Jennifer?”

“Oh, hi Brian. How are you?”

“I’m fine, listen-“

“Is Justin with you? He was supposed to drop by today to see Molly,”

“That’s why I’m calling. We have a problem,”

“Is it Justin? Did something happen-“

“No, nothing like that. I thought Justin should be the one to tell you but…”

“Brian? What’s going on?”

“Justin’s no longer staying with me,”

“What? Why not?”

“Well, things just didn’t work out it seems,”

“So where is he?”

“He’s at Emmett’s,”

“Brian, what the hell is going on? This is crazy! You told me you’d take care of my son, Brian!”

“Look, I did ok. I mean, I will. He’s going to be fine. I won’t let anything happen to him. You know I… care about him,”

“I know. But Brian… Will Emmett make sure he eats and studies and everything? And how will he get to school? Oh jeez! I guess I could pass by every morning-”

“No, I’ll take care of that. The area isn’t the greatest so…”

“What? Brian, you’ve got to make him come home. I know he won’t listen to me,”

“I don’t think he should come home,”

“What? Why not?”

“He’s not a kid anymore, Jen. He needs to become his own person. Listen, we should talk to him together. I have all his stuff still. And technically, he’s not permanent at Emmett’s until Mikey moves out. But I’m working on that,”

“You mean he doesn’t even have a room there?”

“He’s got the couch. Listen, when you bring him over to collect his stuff, we’ll talk to him then ok?”

“When do you want us over?”

“I’ll call and tell you when. I’ve got to go. Don’t worry Jen, I won’t let anything happen to him,”

There were boxes scattered on the floor when Justin entered the apartment later. He spotted Michael putting stuff into them with Emmett’s help.

“Hey guys,” he said. “What’s going on?”

Michael looked up. “I’m moving in with Ben,”

Emmett gave Justin a smile. “So we’re going to be roomies honey!” Justin forced a smile. Oh god, he thought. Am I really going to do this? Move in with Emmett? He looked at Emmett again and groaned. “What’s that sweetie?” Em asked.

“Um, nothing. You guys need any help?” Michael immediately threw a box at him.

Justin could not believe it. They had ganged up on him, his own mother and Brian. Sitting down opposite them, he tried to understand exactly what his mother was saying. “It’s just not safe, sweetie. We’re only worried about your safety. So what do you think?”

Justin licked his lips. “Let me get this straight. You want me to move back in with Brian?”

Jennifer looked a Brian. “Well, do you want to move back home?”

“No,”

“Then I think Brian’s may be a better place for you,”

Under his lowered lashes, Justin peeked at Brian. So far Brian hadn’t said much, just told him to “sit down”, “shut up” and “listen to your mother.” Brian was staring at him with an unreadable expression on his handsome face. “Brian?” Justin questioned.

“It’s your call Justin,”

“But… wouldn’t it be awkward?”

Brian leaned forward. “No strings attached. You do your thing, I do mine. We don’t even have to speak, far less for fucking. Same rules apply,”

“Rules? You mean like no kissing other-“

“I mean like clean up your shit, don’t leave things on the floor…”

“Oh...” Justin grinned sheepishly. Jennifer and Brian both held their breath waiting for a response. Brian couldn’t stop staring at the kid. How was it possible that he could miss someone so much? All the little things Justin did, like play with his mouth with his teeth. And suck on those luscious lips, making Brian ache to feel them on his own. But Brian missed Justin’s smile most of all. That smile could sway him any day. And sleeping next to him. Loved the way Justin would curl up next to him like a puppy seeking warmth. He closed his eyes and inwardly groan. Why the fuck was he doing this? Asking this shit to come back into his life? Especially now, knowing that they were just going to be roommates. Could he deal with it?

“No, I think I’ll be fine here, mom. Em’s really good to me and you’re just a phone call away, right?” Brian gave a small smile when Jennifer looked at him shocked. They had both expected Justin to cave in and move back in with Brian.

“Well, ok honey,” Jenn said. “But then you know that Brian will pick you up on mornings to drop you to school-“

“I’m not a fucking kid,” Justin protested.

“Then stop acting like one, Brat,” Brian said. “It’s on my way anyway. And it’ll give me a chance to check up on you, make sure you’re getting your work done and not fucking your school nights away,”

Justin stood up. “Any other rules you two came up with?”

Jennifer sighed. “Justin, please. We’ll talk about this more later and Brian will get all your things across here ok? I have to go get your sister now. Please call me if you need anything.” She kissed his cheek. Justin went into his room while Brian walked Jennifer to the door.

“I guess it didn’t work,” she said.

“He’ll come around. One month with Emmett and he’ll come to his senses,”

“Brian, he won’t call me if he needs anything, you know that. Will you… will you make sure he’s doing ok?”

“Emmett will take care of him,”

“I trust you Brian. And I should have said this sooner but… I’m sorry for what happened,”

“I’ll survive,” Brian joked. “I’ll call you if anything comes up,”

Jenn nodded and left.

Brian locked the door and walked into Justin’s room to find the blonde kid lying on the bed staring at the ceiling. “Change your mind yet?” Brian wanted to know.

Justin sat up slightly, surprised at still finding Brian there. “Um, no. Just thinking,”

Brian got on the bed and leaned against the pillow. He lit a cigarette. “That can’t be good,”

Justin grinned. “So much has changed in the past two years. I’ve gone from one home to another to another to-“

“I get the picture Justin,”

Justin sighed. “Brian…”

Oh shit, Brian thought. Here it comes. “Hmmm?”

“I’m really sorry about what happened, ok?” Justin propped himself up on his elbow and stared at Brian as he took a pull on his cig. He looked so sexy lying there, one arm behind his head, the other on his chest. Cig still in hand, Brian rubbed at his eyes, then turned to look at Justin.

“We do what’s best for us. Always remember that. You don’t owe me shit, just like I don’t owe you anything. The only person who’s entitled to anything is you,”

Justin nodded and lowered his eyes. What was he doing? He could move back in with Brian, go back to the way things were. But he didn’t want that anymore, right? You don’t know what the hell you want Justin, he thought. Justin was so lost in his thoughts that he didn’t notice Brian inching closer. Soon, his blue eyes were staring into hazel. He could smell the cigarette on Brian’s breath. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Brian’s hand reaching out to cup the back of his neck. Brian pulled him closer, parting his lips. Justin imitated the action.

A sleek pink tongue traced the outline of Justin’s mouth. Justin closed his eyes and allowed himself to savor the feel of it. He opened his mouth wider for Brian to gain entry and was not disappointed when he did. Their tongues connected and Justin sucked on it, driving Brian mad. Simultaneous moans were heard.

Brian pulled back and took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. Justin’s hands were working at the buttons to his shirt. His tongue circled Brian’s nipple. He slowly inched his way on top of Brian and leaned in for another kiss. Brian loved it when Justin took control. He eased the shirt off Justin and his hands roamed his body. Justin felt his cock pressing against Brian’s and rubbed. “Justin…” Brian moaned.

Moving further downwards, Justin tugged on Brian’s pants with his teeth until he had them off. Blue eyes stared into hazel as Justin took Brian into his mouth. Then hazel eyes closed and moans were heard. Justin sucked him off right there and enjoyed every moment of it.

“Do you have a condom?” he asked, searching around the room.

“My pocket?” Brian moaned.

“There’s none there,”

“What? I should have two,”

“Nope, none.”

“Oh fuck! I forget about that guy-“ Justin didn’t know why, but knowing Brian had fucked someone not six hours earlier hurt. He quickly got off Brian and started putting on his clothes. Brian didn’t even notice he was upset. “Don’t you have any?”

“No,”

“Why the fuck not? Don’t you and your music man go at it all night long?”

“Shut up Brian!” Justin shouted.

Brian sighed, deciding his comment was uncalled for. Jealousy makes a man say the strangest things, he thought. To Justin though, he said, “Come here.” Justin stared at him, a frown creasing his brow. “Come here, I know we can’t fuck. I just want to hold you. Am I even still allowed to do that?”

Justin settled into his arms and let Brian hug him. They just lay there in complete silence, Brian gently stroking Justin’s arm, Justin’s fingers circling Brian’s right nipple. Brian also didn’t know what the hell was going on. Why the hell was he even still here? He should be at home getting ready to go to Babylon to meet Mikey and Ben. But he was exactly where he wanted to be at that moment, with Justin.

Justin didn’t know what the hell he was doing. Had he not made up with Ethan just recently? Oh jeez. He had a boyfriend for crying out loud! And here he was cheating yet again. The thought made him uncomfortable and he tried to get out of the embrace the older man had him in.

“Where are you going?” Brian rubbed his chin on the blonde’s soft locks, inhaling his scent.

“You should probably go now,” Justin said quietly. He got off the bed and Brian let him because he knew Justin was feeling guilty. He could see it in the teen’s eyes.

He taunted. “Don’t feel too bad, Sunshine. Now you can go to him with your mouth smelling like dick. See how much he likes it!”

Justin bit his lip. “Shut-the-fuck-up, Brian,”

As Brian quickly put on his shirt, he looked at Justin and shook his head. “You know what, Sunshine? Relationships just don’t seem to be your thing. My advice? Stick to fucking around. After all, you’re so good at it!”
